He graduated with honors from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his medical training at UC San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident, staff physician, and professor.
Dr. Nielsen’s character is shaped by eleven years of military service, including two combat tours in Iraq flying CH-46 helicopters with the United States Marine Corps. That foundation of discipline, leadership, and mission-driven purpose continues to define his approach to patient care.
